These omni-directional (O-D) aircraft are buoyant indoor micro R/C models and outdoor drones, designed for various purposes, including: test models to learn from, demonstrators for bigger types, training aids, and as products for enthusiasts or small businesses to use in numerous ways (i.e. advertising, film, photography, and so forth). They are within the capability of model makers to produce but need a decent sized clean workshop or garage and tables to make the aerostats.
Enthusiasts who perhaps would like to build or buy and operate them may gain pricing and arrangements for: cooperation, detail drawings, materials, guidance documents and support from contact.
Types designed include: LS-L2, LS-L3 and LS-L5, as shown respectively above and detailed below:
- LS-L2 (Ø2 m) designed in 2013 and flown in an egg lift competition but made to support the LS-L20 development. For further information, see the LS-L2’s leaflet.
- LS-L3 (Ø3 m), our first development (late 2008) for test and design investigation purposes. See the video below.
- LS-L5 (Ø5 m) a new development in 2021 as an outdoor buoyant Drone with lasting endurance. For further information, see its leaflet.
Further types suiting customer needs are possible, which may be arranged through contact.
Micro types (i.e., LS-L2 & 3) are best flown indoors, where conditions are still. Outdoors is possible for mini airship types like LS-L5 if weather conditions are reasonable but require operators to comply with air law for R/C and UAV aircraft!
